Happy Easter

Alex and I wish you all a lovely and blessed Easter.

Hello all. Sorry I haven’t answered your questions yet. That post is coming, I promise.

In the mean time I thought I would relate a quick story from the other night which I thought you all might enjoy.

We belong to a really nice country club in our town and spent a beautiful evening recently at a dinner at our club. There were only 30 participants which gives everyone a chance to talk and get to know one another.

We had assigned seating and our name tags were tied to the napkins with thin rope. The men seated on either side of me found that very funny and joked that they were going to keep the rope for later and bemoaning the fact that it was so short. “Yeah you could probably only tie one ankle with that” one said. We all laughed and I stayed quiet wondering just how widespread TTWD really is.

Then later in the night I joined a conversation where the couples were joking about the wives wearing no underwear. What?

Twice in one very civilized, very vanilla evening.

If these little snippets of conversation are any indication I think our lifestyle may be more prominent than we realize. Interesting.

Merry Merry Merry

As as the day comes to a close here in our corner of the world I just wanted to wish my friends here on my blog a very Merry Christmas. I hope you had a lovely relaxing day with family and friends!

It’s Mother’s Day!

Wishing you…

Happy Easter

We are on our way out of town for Easter weekend and I will be entering an internet abyss so I want to put up a really quick post to wish you and yours the most wonderful and blessed of Easters!

I hope it is warming up where you are and that Spring is right around the corner.

Happy Easter to All!

Slutty Brownies

So I am sitting with my 15 year old and she is telling me a story about her friends.

I was over at G’s house and J was bringing the cookie dough for slutty brownies and…

Wait. What are slutty brownies?

Oh slutty brownies are so good. They are chocolate chip cookie dough, Oreo cookies, and brownie mix all baked together.

Why are they called slutty brownies?

Because they are so dirty.

(Just shaking my head.)

Hey we didn’t name them. That’s just what they are called.

(Not sure I like this but find it funny all the same. I Googled it and she’s right. Lots of recipes available.)

I thought you all might get a kick out of that and just had to share. Anyway for those interested in the recipe according to my daughter…

Slutty Brownies

1 package of refrigerated chocolate chip cookie dough (or you can make your own from scratch)

enough whole Oreo Cookies to cover the pan in rows

brownie batter prepared according to the package instructions (whichever kind you like best)

Spread the cookie dough in the bottom of a 7×11 pan.

Put the Oreos in rows to cover the dough.

Pour the brownie batter to cover the cookie dough and Oreos.

Bake according to the brownie instructions maybe adding a bit of time.

She assures me these are fantastic when warm served with vanilla ice cream.

Alex has been away quite a bit so we haven’t gotten to answer our questions yet but we will very soon. Sorry for the delay.

Happy St. Patrick’s Day!

Today is for wearing green and eating corned beef and cabbage, at least in our house.

I wish you the luck of the Irish and a beautiful day!

Hope you get some chocolate!

A curse – Very practical!

A blessing!

And because he makes everything better –
